History

I founded Living in Liberty in February 2012  to provide support and assistance for women and children coming out of a life of Commercial Sexual Exploitation.

I invited a retreat speaker who was a missionary in India on the recommendation of one of the women in our church.  For two days I sat listening to stories of enslavement and exploitation of women and children in Calcutta India. After leaving that weekend I went home and watched and read all the movies and books I could find on the topic.  My heart was broken and I thought what can I do about it.  After trying to convince my husband to move to India without much success I started sending money to support Project Rescue in Calcutta.

A short time later my husband and I relocated to Pittsburgh, PA for his work.  I spent the first year in Pittsburgh settling our family and figuring out what my mission was here in Pittsburgh.
